Spa and wellness at Caravan Park Sexten

Spa and wellness at Caravan Park Sexten. It was not my first visit at the Caravan Park Sexten since it is near to my hometown. I have been many times in this place and I think is a good retreat to take a break in the heart of the Sexten Dolomites scenery, in South Tyrol.
The Caravan Park Sexten has not only a Spa and wellness center but also a hotel resort, a caravan site of its own class, lodges, chalets and some new tree houses, created according to the modern concepts of bio-architecture.

The modern spa & wellness center is composed of the aquatic world with a siliceous stones swimming pool, a huge separated sauna area and a private spa. Made by stones and wood in according with mountains surroundings, their combination with the winter panorama is outstanding!
The sauna area is well planned and offers many amenities. Since it was recently renovated, it has 7 saunas, a steam bath, two relaxed zones with fireplace, a salt cave and two outdoor whirlpools. I really appreciated these two outdoor saunas, especially the one with hay, located in a small lovely mountain cabin. Definitely my highlights because the atmosphere with the snow landscape was breathtaking, as in a fairy tale! (Unfortunately I could not take many photos, as normally I love to do!)

If you are not guests of the Caravan Park Sexten Resort and you stop there just for a day-off, keep in mind that bathrobe, towels and flip flops are not included in the ticket and you will need a bath-kit for having a shower. Unfortunately, they still did not improved the changing room and shower zone: showers are a few and located in a not well reserved area. What a shame! Moreover it would be nice if they would be equipped with a bath foam, as in every wellness center I have visited. I was also a bit disappointed that refresh drinks (local water excluded) and fruits are not included anymore in the entrance price.

I have never tried the restaurant and I was curious to have lunch there after reading good reviews. However after 20 minutes of waiting, I decided to walk out.
