I recently indulged in a splendid retreat at the Almwellness Hotel Pierer, a blissful escape in the serene Teichalm region of Styria. This charming landscape, cradled by snow-draped mountains, is really an idyllic getaway, perfect for leisurely strolls.
I spent my days wrapped in the comforting warmth of saunas and taking tranquil walks through the snow, weaving a delightful routine of relaxation and fairy tale surrounding by the majestic snow backdrop.
The hotel, in itself, is a refined masterpiece a haven of comfort attended to by an exceptionally courteous staff. Their warmth ensured that my stay was characterized by endless pampering.
Now, the big standout is the hotel massive 5000qm wellness zone and beauty center. It’s like a temple of relaxation with literally everything you are looking for: from hydro-massages to the panoramic pool or , comfortable and well designed wooden chilling areas, a whole mix of saunas catering to different tastes, yoga sessions, and complimentary training activities. I’ve got to mention also the blissful massage center and spa: I got an amazing body scrub massage which pampered me to the next level. One day, guests also got a complimentary makeup consultation. Are these thoughtful touches that really elevate the whole experience, isn’t it?
The culinary offerings were impressive, focusing on locally sourced, organic farm-to-table delights. The full board experience provides a refined six-course dinner and a breakfast buffet, boasting an extensive selection of delights. But here’s the captivating touch – a lunch buffet from 1 to 4 pm, gracing with spread of hot dishes, soups, snacks, salads, and delicious handmade desserts. A true culinary indulgence! Dining options range from the two panoramic restaurants to a more traditional wooden-themed setting – all of them were really comfortable and intimate.
Our suite, one of the twelve available, was not only modern in design but also enriched with a personal touch, avoiding the impersonal feel. The spacious bathroom with a celestial bathtub, a beautiful balcony with panoramic snowy views, an impeccably stocked minibar and an incredibly comfortable bed created an atmosphere of pure luxury and comfort. I really had the feeling to sleep in a cloud.
