Summer beauty essential. As much as I like trying and using different products and creating different looks, in summer I always find myself reducing them and using only the essential.
Moreover since I am also used to move and travel much more in summer, I need and want to take only the essentials with me. So I thought I could share my current summer beauty essentials, my really “musts have”, what I took with me in my current long vacation.
The Naked Heat palette by Urban Decay is by far the most summery makeup palette, perfect for a natural eyes look but also for a reach evening smoky eyes, my signature look! Actually the brush inside is not so performing but it is fine on vacation. It just needs to be a bit more careful with it. I would have preferred a double eyes pencil instead of it, as in the very first edition of the Naked palette. Who remembers it?
For me a must during summer is a glowy and bronzed skin. So in addition to my beloved Charlotte Tilbury “Light Wonder foundation” I do a tiny layer of my Amazonian clay “park ave princess” bronzer by Tarte and the BECCA shimmering skin perfector liquid highlighter.
Sometimes I also add the natural “Harmony” blush by Tarte, for an extra touch of freshness.
I always have with me a nude lipstick, Fuel by Urban Decay or the more browny “A girl´s got needs” by Mac (even if it is a bit dry).
As my skin is basically always dry, especially in summer I need some extra pamper. For this reason I use the “Huile prodigieuse” by Nuxe (it smells heavenly!) and the Antioxidant Hydra Gel by La Roche-Posay.
Do not forget a high sunscreen for your skin and also for your hair! I love since years the Fluid 50+ Anthelios XL by La Roche-Posay and the most recent BC Sun Spray Conditioner by Schwarzkopf Pro. As refreshment and setting spray I love thermal waters in generally or the most professional “Fix +” by Mac.
On my suitcase there is always a dry shampoo. At the moment I really like the OASIS Boho Rebel pigmented shampoo by Schwarzkopf Pro. And last but not least, I always have with me the Waltz shower aroma tabs for a relaxing aroma therapy after a challenging day, for example after hike!
