My weekend at Steigenberger Hotel and Spa Krems

Steigenberger Hotel and Spa Krems. Let’s talk about my stay at Steigenberger Hotel and Spa in Krems. The city of Krems, in the Wachau Valley, is one of my favourite little places in Austria! As many of you already know, I like to visit the Wachau Valley for drinking local wines, biking along the river, across vineyards and little cute villages for tasting the famous apricots, apricots jams, apricots liquors; basically everything made with apricots!

Last weekend my husband and I had the pleasure to switch off from the Viennese routine and to enjoy a totally relaxing time at Steigenberger Hotel and Spa. Not so far from Vienna, the Steigenberger Hotel is a perfect place for enjoying a peaceful atmosphere with views over the vineyards, the old city of Krems and the Danube Valley.
The 141 rooms and suites are furnished in a modern style, with refined materials and are well equipped. We stayed in a junior suite with a comfortable living room and luxury bathroom. My highlight was surely the bathtub on the glass walls corner. On Sunday we woke up with the snow and I could take a restful bath with view on a fairy tale. Wow! I also really appreciated the 4 courses dinner at traditional restaurant as well as the delicious breakfast; one of the best breakfast I have ever had. The Steigenberger Hotel offers a huge selection of organic ingredients, delicacies from the Wachau region along with numerous vegetarian dishes, fresh bread and warm dishes. The attentions from all the staff, combined with the gourmet selection was the flawless way to start our day!

The Steigenberger Hotel has 1,200 mq of Spa and wellness area and offers a wide range of services and beauty treatments. You can use a fitness gym, or chilling on the relax room with the fireplace and enjoying the Spa area with a indoor pool, two saunas, a steam bath and a whirlpool outside, all of these with view on the Wachau vineyards or over the city of Krems! In the summer there are also a panoramic pool bar and outdoor pool that look pretty good! For a extra pampering I had the pleasure to enjoyed a complete “Fine wine treatment“ with the natural benefits and ingredients of grapes without parabens, silicons and synthetic elements. I got a very relaxing wine fine feet bath, combined with a wine compress for my feet and hands. Then my dry skin face was pampered with a wonderful grapes scented peeling, an excellent massage with extracted oil from grapes and a wonderful champagne face mask. At the end my very sensitive skin was smooth, reinvigorated and hydrated! I am so satisfied that I can only recommend every single wine fine treatments I got!
