The AbanoRitz hotel: thermal and wellness resort. As a perfect conclusion of my long Italian vacation, my husband and I have spent two purely relaxing days at AbanoRitz Hotel in Abano Terme.
Abano Terme is a small Italian town, well known for its thermal baths, the patented mud and the rich properties of the spa springs water. Abano Terme is also popular worldwide as the “Thermal Baths of Venice” and it is also the perfect location for visiting the beautiful, and less known, cities of Padova (just 11km away) and Vicenza, the Palladio’s town (35km away). In a daily journey, you can also visit Verona. If you love Nature, you can enjoy the Euganean hills and wine routes by bike or the idyllic Brenta River with antique Villas by daily boats trips. Ask to the reception any tips, they gladly recommend the best for you!
Despite the many big hotel chains, the AbanoRitz is still (and proudly) a family run hotel, where they take care of clients with kindness, genuine hospitality and grounded knowledge!
I felt like at home thanks to the whole warm staff and the comfortable atmosphere. The AbanoRitz offers a refined old style ambiance combined with all modern comforts and a sense of well-being due to many details that show passion and professional services.
I had the pleasure to stay in a new modern designed room with high-end furniture by Moroso, Artemide, Antonio Lupi and Cattelan Italia, all part of the Italian Excellence.
In addition to the fine classic rooms and settings, from September they will also offer brand-new creative superior rooms&suites and the renovated “Brutto Anatroccolo”Restaurant. Moreover from October they will open a fancy vintage ball hall with an authentic ’60 -’70 flair, perfect location for special evening parties!
Concerning the wellness, the main focus is on the natural springs thermal water and the special patented mud. The AbanoRitz pool and whirlpool are filled with the highly mineralized spa water from Euganean hills, which is also used for aging the spa mud and for the inhalation therapies. Moreover, the thermal gap between the over 80° of the springs water and the spa bath temperature produces geothermal energy for heating the hotel since 50 years!!
The patented spa mud is used at AbanoRitz for therapeutic treatments and for preventing articulation disorders, thanks to its special chemical-physical properties. The peculiar microflora (based on algae and micro organisms naturally produced during the maturation process) has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties which has made the Abano Mud known throughout the world!
The highlight of the day was the candle-lit dinner in the idyllic garden, tasting the original Italian barbecue formula. They provided us a wide buffet of hors d’oeuvres and vegetable dishes, warm main courses, nice wines selection and steak & fish directly grilled in the barbecue fireplace! Everything was so delicious and tasty, I didn’t need to tell you…!!
Under the stars we could enjoy the warm swimming pool and whirlpool area till almost midnight. What a perfect conclusion for a well spent day! ♥
