What’s in my beach bag

What’s in my beach bag. And here we are! I am back to Vienna from two amazing and relaxing vacation weeks. If you follow me also on my instagram most probably you already know that my husband and I had such a great time in Zakynthos and Kefalonia. Even if it was not our first time, we really enjoyed our highlights of these islands.
Before to dedicate a new post about what to do and visit in both islands, for today’s post, I want to share you what’s in my beach bag, what I always bring with me in my beach bag. As when I travel or I pack a luggage, I am quite minimal. For this reason, please, don’t have big expectations, I just want to share with you some good products for preventing sun damages, relaxing and feeling comfortable on the beach.

Inside my beach bag, I carry a few things. Of course, I always keep a towel. I love the Hammam beach towels because they are spacious, fresh and thin to pack. Then I keep a hat and I always wear sunglasses, also into the sea. My currently beach bag is probably not so fashionable and trendy, but it is functional, spacious and light. It is a inexpensive model from Decathlon with also a big pocket inside.

Spending time in the sun increases the risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, I regularly use sunscreens with a SPF of 30 or 50 (especially for my lips&face). That is a must since I have tons of beauty marks on my body. I really love and suggest you the Neutrogena “Ultra Sheer Body Mist sunscreen” for body and La Roche-Posay Fluid 50+ Anthelios XL for the face. They are weightless, easy to apply and not greasy at all! I also use a sunscreen lips balm and this year I tried the ATEIA ALPIN spf 30 Sunprotector PLUS REPAIR for face and lips. I found it too greasy for facial use (especially If you are used to wear make-up, as I do) but very good for lips. I am very picky about sunscreen products, and these products are all winners.
So, I always pack my sunscreen stuff inside my beach bag in a clear plastic cosmetic bag.

Then I used to keep in my beach bag another small cosmetic bag, where I put inside my beloved Les Beiges de Chanel (inside it has a big mirror), a small comb (that I don´t use often because I put always my hair up), a thermal spring water spray in travel size for refreshing my face and neck. I really like the one by
Avene or La Roche-Posay. Then for my hair I like to apply on them the PHYTO 7 hydrating day cream, absolutely a fabulous hydrating creme that you put directly on dried hair. Again, not greasy at all!

It is obvious but, please, do not forget to bring with you some fresh water and also some juicy fruits. When I stay in no-equipped beaches, I keep with us a cooler with fresh fruits, snacks and drinks.

One of my favourite place to read is sitting on the beach or pool and generally during vacations. For this reason I always bring with me my Kindle! What a save of space! On vacation I mostly read adventurous novels or classical masterpieces. My favourite book of the moment is not a new entry because I had already read it; however it is always a pleasure: it is “Timeline”, written by Michael Crichton, a kind of historical/science novel, very engaging!
