My stay at fabulous Sonnhof Alpendorf

While I am writing this blogpost I think that I would need more weekends like the one I had at Sonnhof Alpendorf. It was so perfect and has arrived at the right moment. After a busy week I had the chance to take a break enjoying restful days.
The Sonnhof Alpendorf is a four stars family run hotel close to Sankt Johann im Pongau, the perfect place for a weekend-off surrounded by the beautiful Nature in all seasons of the year. You can relax and let yourself be pampered by many proposals of their awarded wellness & spa center and indulge yourself into the refined gourmet selection. I immediately understood their dedication not only in the welcome and amenities but also satisfying any request and taking care of every detail. That makes a stay really special!
The wellness area is very well looked and organized with different relax areas, whirlpools, saunas and a salt steam bath. I have tried the best sea salt body peeling I have ever had!

My Delux Plus room was just a gem: very pleasant furniture in natural colours and materials, huge comfortable bed, beautiful balcony, wonderful bathroom, fabulous skincare products of the Austrian organic brand Valentina & Philippa. Wow, wow, wow! I have also to say that the minibar and the whole room were very well soundproofed, which cannot be always taken for granted.

Together with the room, also their cuisine made my stay. Main focus are top-quality and local products for the five-courses dinner as well as for the fabulous breakfast. I loves especially that last one! Lots of delights wait for you at the buffet: fresh handmade juices, wide bread and honey selection, delicious homemade jams, bio butter from local huts and a good selection of cheeses, cold cuts, fresh fruits and muesli. Beside the huge buffet selection you can have any made-to-order egg dishes, pancakes, crepes and waffles you desire. A glass of a selected sparkle wine could not miss for starting everyday in the outstanding way!
I am dreaming to come back to Sonnhof Alpendorf soon. Next time it would be nice to sit outside on their panoramic terrace for a refreshing drink or a romantic dinner under the stars.
